Hello Dear, I'm very sorry to hear about budget reductions. I remember reading in the last couple of years about the horrific conditions of orphans in Romania. For some reason - maybe just at the orphanage where an adoptee was found - the children would not be given names. No interactions. Kids growing up in a crib. Etc. The rage that gradually came out from the child (adopted by Americans) was incredible, of course.
Well, caulking your room can at least help for the coming Summer, don't you think? Maybe you can put a barrier where your door is, also. Roaches also drown in water real easy. So if you have a water barrier, it's non-poisonous (I worry about anyone dealing with those neuro-toxin poisons) and you're not killing them. You're just setting up a barrier. :)
